free mp3s: “7sounds” & “Unholy, Happy”
We’ve posted a couple mp3s for download on the Anechoic Art Ensemble’s myspace page.
Why?
We’re doing some spring cleaning so we’ve decided to make a new song available for free download every once in a while for the next few months. Collect the set!
They’re essentially soundtracks to invisible movies, you’ll just have to use your imagination if you want to “view” them.
All tracks were recorded using analog and digital synthesizers, ancient samplers, a truly cantankerous Tascam 16-track, a circa 1970 Modular Moog, a variety of Korgs, a prophet 600, a transistor radio, and a lot of Mountain Dew. The project was mixed to DAT, the tape promptly and mysteriously warping and creating a new set of complexities before we could master.
Basically, the project was cursed. It was, however, a lot of fun.
Consider yourself warned.
